Playa del Rey is a fifteen to twenty minute drive from the shop: Culver Blvd or Imperial Highway inland, then south to 12911 Cerise Ave in Hawthorne. It is far enough from the coast that we are not competing for the same two parking spaces you are, and close enough that dropping a car off is an errand rather than an expedition. Family-owned, cars and motorcycles, all insurance companies accepted, free written estimate.
Living a block from the sand has a cost, and it lands on the paint. Salt-laden air and constant damp accelerate corrosion wherever the finish is already broken — a stone chip on a leading edge, a scratch along a door, the lip of a wheel arch. Sand carried on the wind scours lower panels and rocker edges. On cars that live outside year round, minor damage that would sit harmlessly for years inland starts to bubble here, so it is worth refinishing properly rather than touching in.
The other pattern is geometry. The hillside streets above Culver Blvd are narrow, steep and lined with parked cars, and the driveways are short and sharply angled. Front lips, air dams and rear bumper corners take the worst of it. Down on the flats, the beach lots and the stretch along Vista del Mar produce the usual mix of low-speed taps, opened-door damage and scuffed quarters, with the added hazard of drivers watching the ocean instead of the car in front.
More detail on the work itself: bumper repair, paintless dent repair, car painting and colour matching, collision and structural repair, motorcycle body repair and a free estimate from photos.
The simplest route is Culver Blvd east to Sepulveda, south past LAX, then east on El Segundo Blvd to Cerise Ave. Alternatively take Pershing Drive to Imperial Highway, head east and come south on Crenshaw. Both take about the same time outside airport peaks. If the car should not be driven, we will arrange a tow through our third-party partner.
In California the choice of repair facility belongs to the vehicle owner. Your insurer may recommend a shop from its network, but you can bring the car here and your claim stays valid. We accept all insurance companies, take the damage photos, speak with the adjuster and file a supplement if hidden damage shows up during disassembly.
Working with a specific carrier? We have pages for GEICO, State Farm, AAA, Progressive, Allstate, Mercury and Farmers, plus a general insurance claims page.
Claim guides: choosing your own body shop in California, what a supplement is, how your deductible works, rental car while your car is in the shop and OEM vs aftermarket parts.

Yes. Bring the car in or send photos of the damage and we will give you a written estimate at no charge, with no obligation to book the repair.
A bumper or a single panel is normally a few days. Multi-panel or structural work takes longer, and insurance approval of a supplement can add time. We give you a realistic date once the car is disassembled and tell you straight away if anything changes.
Yes. We do body and paint work on motorcycles, including tank, fairing and panel repair, and we match the paint to the original finish.
Usually yes, but it needs proper preparation rather than a touch-up. Coastal air gets under a broken finish and keeps working, so the affected area has to be taken back, treated and refinished with a blend into the surrounding panel.
We can repair and refinish it, and in many cases replace it with the same part. What we cannot change is the driveway angle, so we will also tell you honestly whether a repair will survive the next season.
Yes. We do full resprays as well as panel work, and we match colour to the original where you want the car to stay factory-correct.
