Reviews of The Body Shop Collision Repair

Hawthorne, CA — where to read verified reviews about our shop, what to look for in body shop reviews, and how to leave your own.

Where you can read verified reviews about us

We deliberately do not host customer reviews on this website. Anything typed into our own page could be edited by us later, so it proves nothing to you. The reviews worth reading sit on platforms that tie each review to a real visit or a real repair order, where the shop cannot touch the text.

Google

Our Google Business Profile is the main place people leave feedback about the shop on Cerise Ave. You can read what is there and add your own from our listing: find The Body Shop Collision Repair on Google Maps.

Carwise

Carwise belongs to CCC, the company behind the estimating software used across the collision repair industry. A Carwise review can only be written by someone whose repair actually went through that system, which makes it hard to fake in either direction. Our profile is here: The Body Shop Collision Repair on Carwise.

How to leave a review

Open our Google listing, tap the stars and write a few lines. What helps the next driver most is the detail: what happened to the car, which insurer was involved, how long the repair took, whether the paint matched in daylight. A one-line review is nice for us but useless to the person reading it at two in the morning after an accident.

We read all of it, including the critical ones. If something went wrong on your repair we would much rather hear it from you directly on (323) 661-6600 while we can still fix it.

We do not pay for reviews, offer discounts for them or filter which customers get asked. Buying reviews breaks Google’s rules and, more to the point, it makes every other review on the profile worthless.

What to look for in body shop reviews

Reviews that mention the insurance side. Bodywork is only half the job. The other half is the claim: the damage photos, the adjuster, the supplement when hidden damage turns up after disassembly. Reviews that describe that part tell you whether a shop argues for the right repair or simply accepts the first estimate. Our side of it is on the insurance claims page.

Photographs of finished work. One photo of a repaired quarter panel says more than a paragraph of praise. Look at the panel gaps, at the edge where fresh paint meets the original, at the colour in daylight rather than in shade. Our own gallery is on the our projects page and you are welcome to compare it with anything else you have been shown.

How recent they are. Shops change hands, painters move on, standards drift. An average built up over a decade tells you less than a run of reviews from the last few months. Check the dates before you decide anything.

How the shop replies to complaints. Every shop has a bad week. What the owner wrote underneath the complaint — and whether the customer came back to update it — usually tells you more than the star count.

What we commit to before any work starts

The estimate is free, whether you drive in or send photos of the damage. Nothing is disassembled or ordered until you say yes. If we open the car and find damage nobody could see from outside, we stop, photograph it and go back to the adjuster with a supplement instead of quietly cutting corners to stay inside the original number.

In California the choice of repair facility belongs to the vehicle owner. Your insurer may recommend a shop from its network, but you can bring the car here and your claim stays valid. We accept all insurance companies, take the damage photos, speak with the adjuster and handle the paperwork from the first call to the day you collect the car.

See the work for yourself

Reviews are second-hand. If you are within driving distance, bring the car by and we will look at it with you and tell you plainly what it needs, in what order, and what it will cost. Photos of past repairs are on the our projects page.

More detail on the work itself: collision repair, bumper repair, paintless dent repair, car painting and colour matching, motorcycle body repair and a free estimate from photos.

What people ask about our reviews

Where can I read real reviews about your shop?

The two places we point people to are our Google Business Profile and our Carwise profile. Both tie reviews to actual customers, and neither lets us edit what was written.

Can I leave a review if the repair went through my insurance?

Yes. Insurance work is most of what we do, and those reviews are the most useful ones for other drivers because they cover the claim as well as the repair itself.

Do you give discounts or gifts in exchange for reviews?

No. Paying for reviews in any form breaks the rules of every platform we are listed on, and it would make the rest of the profile meaningless.

What should I do if I am not happy with my repair?

Call the shop on (323) 661-6600 and ask for the person who handled your car. Almost everything can be corrected while the vehicle is still with us or shortly after collection.

Are Carwise reviews different from Google reviews?

Carwise reviews come through the CCC estimating system, so they are tied to a repair order. Google reviews can be left by anyone who visited, including people who only came in for an estimate.

Why are there no star ratings on your own pages?

Google does not show rating stars that a business publishes about itself, and adding that kind of markup to your own site is against its guidelines. The stars you see next to a business in search results come from Google’s own listing, not from the website.

How long will my repair take?

It depends on the damage, on parts availability and on how quickly the insurer approves the estimate. We give you a realistic timeline with the estimate rather than a number that sounds good on the phone, and we tell you if it changes.

Can I see examples of your work before I commit to anything?

Yes. The our projects page has photographs of finished repairs, and you are welcome to walk through the shop when you come in for your free estimate.
